Banning Recycling Fair 2009

The Recycling fair was a great deal of fun. We had two very busy tables at the fair.

One table displayed sculptures made of trash from the Beaumont High School AVID Club, arranged by YAC member Alyssa. These sculptures inspired all to take another different look at what we throw away. Our many thanks to AVID for their creativity.

Our second table was all about creating and catching the recycling bug. Ever wonder what to do with those CDs that come in the mail with free info on them? Well we came up with a project for these non recyclable items. We pre-painted the label side black and took about a hundred of them to the fair, along with pre-cut wings a multitude of pipe cleaners and googely eyes. Put them all together and numerous fun lady bugs and beetles in a variety of colors were created.
